Spring & Fall Seminars/Webinars

Twice each year, System HR Services works with representatives from the State Universities Retirement System (SURS), Fidelity Investments, and TIAA to present seminars in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield, and online webinars. The seminars and webinars listed below are free for university employees, and are approved events under Civil Service Policy and Rules, Rule 11.12. Employees may be released from work to attend a seminar or webinar, operations permitting, and subject to prior supervisor approval. Registration is required.

Seminar Topic

For the Spring 2020 seminars, SURS will present From Here to Retirement, designed to help early to mid-career members consider future goals and evaluate retirement readiness. This seminar will cover the basics of SURS benefits and other key components necessary for a secure retirement.
