Job Begin Date on Reappointments

When you reappoint an employee to a job he or she previously held (same position number and suffix) you enter the Reappointment Begin and End Dates into the wizard.  Upon returning to Employee Record View these dates are reflected in the Personnel Date and Job End Date, respectively.  The Job Begin Date, however, always shows the date the employee was first appointed to the job.  Once pay has been issued for a job, the Job Begin Date cannot be changed in Banner.  Therefore do not attempt to change the Job Begin Date in a Reappointment transaction in HR Front End.

If you need to change the reappointments dates entered, use the Wizard link in the Proposed Changes accordion to correct the dates.
